Sky Tree Analysis

Native American myths were often very short and repetitive, so that people could remember the story since they were passed down orally.  The Sky Tree is no different.  The myth is only eight small and medium paragraphs.  It reiterates that the tree fell, that there was a giant hole, and that the animals were making land for the woman to fall on.  The animals played a more important part of the story than Man did, which is also common among Native American mythology.  Overall, the Sky Tree closely follows the common ideas of Native American myth.
